2020 Bledisloe Cup, Game 2: Top 3 players from the All Blacks v Wallabies Game

Jack Goodhue would be the first decent pick for the All Blacks.

The successful scrum from Aaron Smith allowed him to smash the opposition half.

It ripped the Wallabies defense apart before Aaron tapped the first TRY.

And he made another attacking masterclass not long after the break.

Goodhue successfully called some help from Richie Mo’unga with the offload.

It allowed him to run into space before assisting Jordie Barrett to extend the lead & stay there until the final siren.

The support service benefited his natural game all afternoon.

He credits the Wallabies lopsided defense that made them an easy target to beat.

Goodhue may have played most of the time for 60 minutes.

But he is no doubt a decent player in the All Blacks squad with the upcoming Rugby Championship.

Patrick Tuipulotu

He is hard as nails in the All Blacks forward line.

Safe to say that Tuipulotu did very well at his club home ground in Eden Park, Auckland.

The defensive reading is there where Tuipulotu spotted the opposition weakness via the physical traits.

He steps in to stop their build-up play when the Wallabies lack their support.

Not only Tuipulotu can form strong blocks defensively.

He can be an excellent contributor to support his backline.

Tuipulotu gave opportunities to capitalize on the Wallabies errors with a few touchdowns.

One of his attacking masterclasses is where he assisted Sam Cane in the second 40.

He first breaks through the gate via some pace on the far right before spotted his skipper (Cane) with the touchdown.

Credit to his physical traits, where he became flexible both in defense and attack.

It is something that made his Blues fans proud in Super Rugby Aotearoa.

Marika Koroibete

He did benefit from a beautiful start for the Wallabies.

The service and players via the channels around him unlocked his touchdown in the first half.

That way, Koroibete knows how to get past the All Blacks defenders.

It is called the support passage of play, where he dominates with his physical and running traits.

We saw Ned Hedigan and Michael Hooper working together to break past the opposition blocks.

Then these two transferred to Matt Toomua on the far left to his finishing assist.

Koroibete may have almost scored a touchdown himself earlier in the last 40.

But that did not happen without his help where the poor forwards link-up play cost the Wallabies.

It left his game isolated with no progress in the end.

He needs better service next time to communicate better if the Wallabies were to bounce back.

They lost the lead in the four-match Bledisloe Cup Series, 1-0, with two games left on the home soil.

It will be year 19 in 2021 if they lose on Saturday, October 31, at ANZ Stadium.

Looking Ahead

That is the New Zealand leg for this season in the Bledisloe Cup tour.

Going back a bit earlier, we now say goodbye from Eden Park in Auckland.

And say hello to Sydney, Australia.

I will be back tomorrow here for Race 33 in the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series.

We will see who is the best three both in the midfield and low budget cars.
