by Sports Benches

It is finally to have the tennis back after an unexpected day off. When a hotel quarantine worker tested positive to COVID-19. And all action was put on hold.

This action focused on whoever wins the top of Group B. As Australia are already eliminated. Despite the win from Wednesday v Greece. But have lost 3-0 v Spain in the first match up. While Greece have yet to face their 2nd game here.

Michail Pervolarakis did not have a good start. When Pablo Carreno Busta pulled off a big lead in the first stage by 5-0 for Spain. Pervolarakis though have begun fought back a bit with 3 points in the bag.

But Carreno Busta did not have to jump big with the stage 1 win 6-3. He continued the same momentum as it was the first time for Spain. While Pervolarakis changed his strategy a bit & stayed closer to Carreno Busta. So Greece would get a reprieve going into the 3rd set after 4-5.

Pervolarakis unfortunately just unable to find the consistency. And the middle ground to put pressure on Carreno Busta at all times. As Spain lead the series 1-0 v Greece. With Carreno Busta as the winner who got it home comfortably, 6-3, 6-4.

Roberto Bautista Agut is up next against Stefanos Tsitspas. With the 2nd singles series match is not far away. Before the doubles action takes place. Regardless of the result. As Spain would want to close the series 2-0 early. Before they get to prepare for the finals games tomorrow.

While Greece would have to end their campaign on a high now. They hope to clean sweep Spain 3-0 & shock them for a semis berth. After they lost to Australia two days ago. But that will not happen with Spain goes on so far as undefeated.
