Argentina fired off well up front with four tries scored in the first half of the 2020 Summer Olympics (Rugby 7s, Pool A), while Australia struggled regarding the poor defense/ill-discipline as they didn’t even have a single chance so far to crack on the opposition territory.

It will be interesting to see if Australia can make up lost time going into the 2nd half as both teams take a two-minute break, right now the scoreline stands at 0-24.

Australia opened their account with just under 4 mins left thanks to a Josh Turner double off the bench, they controlled the opposition pitch when he came on that turned into winning penalties & chances of a big score.

However, the Aussies just didn’t have enough time to shock the Argentinians from behind after a poor 1st half, even though Samu Kerevi shaved the opposition lead with a TRY also immediately off the bench.

And Argentina managed to kickstart their Rugby 7s campaign with the win 29-19 through a brilliant finish to keep themselves away from Australia courtesy of Lautaro Bazan Velez.

Next up for Australia is South Korea in their 2nd game of Pool A coming later today at 7pm AEST.
