2022 ATP Cup, Casper Ruud ties 1-1 for Norway after a competitive singles game with Serbia’s Dusan Lajovic

Such a competitive battle in this 2nd singles tie of Group A between Serbia’s Dusan Lajovic & Casper Ruud at Ken Rosewall Arena where they both fired off with the first three points apiece before Ruud took the 1st set lead towards the break, although Lajovic tried to keep himself in contention having bounced back so hard in the 2nd set & bring it to a 3rd set tiebreaker but it’s too little, too late as Ruud once again defeated him to the punch in straight sets.

Final Score: 3-6, 5-7 to Casper Ruud.

Two decent players out there with Ruud 8th seed up against Lajovic at World No.33 which is incredible competition when they never gave up by fighting back and forth for these important points, it’s just Ruud who showed better momentum that staved off Lajvoic during the end of each set.

Serbia and Norway are 1-1 apiece now in the best of three ahead of the doubles decider shortly where Ruud will be back with Viktor Durasovic in a bid to deliver Norway a 2-1 series win, they will be up against Serbia’s pair of Nikola Cacic & Matej Sabanov.
