Paula Badosa from Spain just wrapped up with a win v Ajla Tomljanovic in Round 2 of the women’s Sydney Tennis Classic tournament at Ken Rosewall Arena, she had a brilliant run through all cylinders that reflected an easy start & although it might’ve been a bit competitive after the break but Badosa didn’t have difficulties getting the job done in straight sets (6-3, 6-4).

Badosa’s next opponent in the 3rd Quarter-Final game is either France’s Oceane Dodin or Belinda Bencic from Switzerland.

Tomljanovic was gutted not to advance past the 2nd Round in Sydney, she did well in the 2nd set having fought back at times that includes a couple of saved points/deuces in a bid to stay in contention. However, a poor start plus catching up late left little time to take down the Spaniard.

Up next is Scotland’s Andy Murray v Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili at Ken Rosewall Arena in Round 2 of the Men’s Sydney Tennis Classic tournament.
