Looking back from earlier this morning with the 147th Preakness Stakes that took place at the Pimore Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland. It was an fantastic grandstand finish in front of these spectators between the Top 2 favourite horses but how good was that from Early Voting!

This horse fired off well early but he was just behind Armagnac in 2nd for the majority with patience before he began to attempt his move on the outside line at the 3/4 mile mark towards the homestretch, and there he goes where jockey Jose Ortiz gifted owner Seth Klarman with a comfortable win by a length and a half at 1:54:54.

It’s not just Early Voting who dramatically changed the entire field, there’s a couple of contenders that also subpoenaed Armagnac’s strong start as well. Although Epicenter wasn’t able to catch up the eventual winner right on time, he takes home in 2nd ahead of Creative Minster.

Secret Oath & Skippylongstocking rounds off the Top 5, while Simplication finished in 6th ahead of Armagnac, Happy Jack & Fenwick.

Now that is a weekend to look back in the world of sporting events and Horse Racing, even though we would’ve love to see Rich Strike continue their underdog story in the Triple Crown & build on their breakthrough win from the Kentucky Derby two weeks ago. This is the fourth time that there wasn’t a reigning Kentucky Derby winner competing in this race since the 1996 edition.

The 3rd & final stop of the Triple Crown will head off to Belmont Park in New York for the 154th Belmont Stakes on Saturday, June 11th.

It will be NBC’s final event over there before FOX takes the reigns next year, but they will continue airing the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and many other horse racing events including the Royal Ascot & Breeder’s Cup.
