Kurt-Lee Ardense might not be the tallest but he can be quickest, however, to wrap things up following his hat-trick brace for the Springboks from earlier this morning in Pretoria. He credits their clear passage of play through the channels with a decent amount of numbers in it, so he knows where to touch down that sweet spot which is the TRY line of course! He’s just always ready when the vision is there through a bit of space before Ardense calls it out for support & there he goes where no one couldn’t stop him with lightning pace. He’s had a great season with the Bulls including two QF occasions both in the European comps, as there’s more of him to come soon at World Cup time – look out Leicester Fainga’anuku!
There is another Boks player who is looking to help defend the Webb Ellis Cup is none other than the towering two-metre Pieter Steph Du Toit on the openside back row at No.7. Not only he’s such a handy defender, but he can also smash & hold back opposition defenders including the vision via their body language as well. The Boks don’t have to feel isolated every time he he has the ball at the breakdown/driving mauls. That way, his on-field contribution made their attacking line easier, which led to TRY after TRY including one for himself. He’s now ready to help beat the All Blacks in NZ next weekend that would see the Boks closer towards the Rugby Championship trophy.
And Marika Koroibete still stands out the best every time he wears the Wallabies shirt on the left wing. He benefited from their fast start on his own short side thanks to some good passage of passing where he was able to quickly close the opposition gap well en route to his side’s first TRY of the night. Now his side might not be the winners in the end, but he capped off a good ending when he & reserve 10 Carter Gordon communicated well off the back of that little cross kick before he backs up all to do with pace that led to Carter’s debut TRY. But it’s a shame really that a poor defense & ill-discipline ruined his good start with the loss there.
