We’re turning back the clock from the NASCAR throwback race to last year’s Super Rugby semi-final rematch & another classic PL derby of Everton v Chelsea.
Still the same Cup winner while the same top Australian Super Rugby team continues to hold all wins so far v five NZ teams.
And there’s one losing team is right now standing in between Champions League Finals & a guaranteed Top 4 qualification.
That’s why these are the big event sports moments you don’t want to miss seen by Sports Benches and the casual sports fan.
If you want more than sports, we got General Hospital once every weekend with the same mix storyline drama but in soaps.
NASCAR Cup Series at Darlington: Goodyear 400
One word to describe 23XI-Toyota’s Tyler Reddick? Unreal.
Yes, his performance at Darlington could’ve been perfect minus the Stage 1 pit debacle from starting pole.
But every time it’s the 2nd half, Tyler must have ticked all the boxes with crew chief Billy Scott at the right time along with the right wear of tires.
You know what? He blew everyone away so aggressively that was impossible for everyone else with the Goodyear 400 win.

The key is a fast race car, good and fresher sets of tires/adjustments that can last and someone who can help navigate from the pit box. With that said, they can safely tick off “winning races” again in style.
Should’ve been a Ford day when RFK Racing’s Brad Keselowski won Stage 1 & 2 having capitalised through lapped traffic.
It really prepped him well to clear those decks but then struggled to build a big lead Brad wanted so bad before Tyler swooped over in the process & he had to settle 2nd.
Still no Chevy win but a huge Spire Motorsports team effort though with Daniel Suarez & Carson Hocevar.
Suarez ran more than just a marathon on Top 10 laps using water as fuel & directions/obstacles as strategy in 7th while Carson made lots of ground before he unlocked that real restate aggressively towards 4th.
Super Rugby: Brumbies v Chiefs and Waratahs v Blues
After a bye-week on Sports Benches, we’re back with a mixed bag following Round 6.

Brumbies continued to hammer NZ teams this time last year’s semi-final winners Chiefs from behind, 33-24. However, not so much by Waratahs against Blues unfortunately who still missed Joseph Suaalii at the treatment room, 20-35.
We’ll start with Declan Meredith at 10 who possess playmaking pace into counter-attack mayhem while Rob Valetini continues to turn the tide anywhere between the two flanks or 8.
What better way to win from the Brumbies is right here at GIO Stadium than away.

Quinn Tuapea (inside Chiefs 12) collected the consolation prize with his strong carries & tough tackling but Chiefs do need to finish well next time, especially away games.
Then onto Waratahs & Blues at Allianz Stadium where AJ Lam ripped away sheets en route with his two try haul & so did Taufa Funaki who struck a fine line off the bench as the reserve nine for Finlay Christie.
Finally, Sid Harvey’s Super Rugby debut at 15 was a good first impression from his superb kicking game to the way he speeds on the short side like fellow product Max Jorgensen in the left 11.
Don’t know why Waratahs still misses Suaalii when they’ve led earlier on but they can’t be bereft of ideas & then it’s too late with 20 odd to go.
Premier League Matchday 31: Everton v Chelsea
Blues v Blues which one? Toffees too good at home over Chelsea, 3-0.
It was all set up early by Beto, who got away with a clinical two-goal brace as the starting No.9, before Iliman Ndiaye safeguarded the result off the wide left.
Competition looks great in the centre-forward department where Beto was more than just a squad player in place of summer signing from Villarreal Thierno Barry.
Tactically, another counter-attacking masterclass under David Moyes just like his first spell there including the first half 2020s until mid 2024 with West Ham.
Wanna see Moyes reach Europa League once again, so he can get his hands on that trophy next time around.
You also got Crystal Palace coach Oliver Glasner trying to add another UEFA trophy this time Conference League — the one Moyes got his hands on three years ago also West Ham over Fiorentina.
And unfortunately, Chelsea just unable to exploit the cutting edge they wanted — mainly their defensive four.
There’s always the Champions League but they currently sit 6th on the ladder — only one point/spot away from Liverpool and six points off Aston Villa for 4th.
Question marks still aim nonetheless at head coach Liam Rosenior who replaced Enzo Maresca during Chelsea’s mid-season shake-up. Will he see out at least through the Northern summer? We’ll see.
