GH this week 2-5 September 2025: Who shot Drew Cain?

Something shocking came out of nowhere this week when Congressman Drew Cain, who despite making a real enemy of himself to many innocent families as if he has unlimited ammo in his gun collection, had been shot in the back twice.

The good news is that he’s okay and will be on his way to a full recovery but the bad news is who shot him and why?

It’s been no surprise that Drew’s downfall had eventually arrived earlier this week but he’s still alive for now.

Maybe someone was using the back entrance when Trina and Kai broke into his also luxurious home who both attempted to hit him with a baseball bat and did find the remains of her mom Portia’s pre-meditated blood test results of Heather Webber (that was later destroyed).

However, as said, Drew was shot down to the floor by then and Tracy Quartermaine came into the scene terrified before she called 9-1-1 on him, even though she had her differences with her nephew who is still without a doubt a Q family member.

Look Drew may be a monster to pretty much everyone ever since he took a seat in politics like ruining his nephew’s marriage so Willow all can be Drew’s hero girl everyday. But once he gets better, let’s hope he will be sent to therapy and then he should get a job elsewhere.

Now who really shot him? 

It’s a long list of people behind this which is so unpredictable but maybe Sidwell who not just shot Judge Heran dead by surprise, he probably tried to do the same thing to Drew in the back twice & then abducted his 12-year-old daughter Scout.

Looks like the Sonny v Sidwell feud isn’t over just yet when Sidwell was the one who sent the $1 million deposit payment to Heran, not Drew or Michael. 

Shame he’s pulling the rug every move to get what he wants to make Sonny that he should thank – such as like telling Heran to give Michael full custody and not what’s actually fair off her terms. What’s even so alarming right now that Sidwell is also a Diane Miller client for ethical and legal reasons despite being part of Sonny’s for a long time with thanks to his son Marco.

Easy to see why Sidwell wants to replace Sonny by stabbing people in the back.

Okay, it could’ve been Willow too when viewers saw a shadow of someone watching Drew fall onto his knees before being gunned down for the second time. 

But then I don’t see it because remember Drew filed the paperwork to legally ban Alexis, the two Davis girls plus Danny and Rocco from seeing his daughter – and Willow was assigned to look after her.

For the sake of her safety, she decided to find Scout a home at Liz’s place when Alexis’ petition to have her again was denied by the court, and now she’s gone missing from Lila’s Kids camp.

At the end of the day, all signs go to that mystery person targeting both Drew and his daughter Scout, no one else – end of.

Five Poppies Update: Joss and Vaughn still stuck with Jason is currently on it to save Britt

If Collette wasn’t playing a part on the assassination attempt of Drew, she did try to take down both Vaughn and Joss, as they’re still currently locked up under that Pascal guy and Anna continues to be so outrageous at Jack Brennan for this.

Not only did Collette attempt to take out the safe with the code Joss wrongly gave to Pascal which failed, she was caught at the same time not long later by Jack Brennan with a pistol gun on his hand. 

And yes Collette’s indeed a double agent by double crossing Brennan who is also working for Pascal so she thinks Collette is better than everyone for the WSB.

Again no surprise every time people see WSB as something corrupt like it’s always been before.

Well for Collette, sorry but she’s gone way too far distracting her supervisor – the consequences of that will be something she will not be wanting to see and hear.

Also at the Five Poppies resort, Jason Morgan has somehow went back to Croatia from Paris in a bid to save Britt Westbourne from danger.

There was a guy waiting to kill him at his hotel room but he managed to survive & shot him in the chest before he found that key piece of info + the pass key to enter into the lab as we will wait and see when Jason sees Britt once again next week.

Thank god Britt called him off that burner phone he gave to her upon leaving the first time only to come back straight back here not long later.

Here’s hoping “Stone Cold” lands Britt out on the safe zone and so does Joss and Vaughn by eliminating Pascal and his group of guards before we eventually find about her mysterious boss at the lab.

As difficult as this can be when it comes to the attempted murder of Drew, don’t know for sure so will have to leave that there.

What else? As Jacinda is back after all.

As we know by now, Portia and Curtis called it quits with their marriage off the back of their own hard times mainly because of Drew. But sometimes Portia can’t be that honest to Curtis sometimes like it was with hiding Trina from him in the past and now this so she can get out of that huge Curtis v Drew feud by falling in love with another guy in Dr. Isaiah Gannon.

Look who’s also on the same boat when it comes to the wrong side of real honesty?

Nina Reeves.

Can’t believe she lied to Anna and Chase from the PCPD just to protect her daughter Willow when Willow doesn’t want to do anything with her saying they went out for a walk together in the rain. 

Wow!! Really? Good luck with that because I don’t think that is going to help.

Although Willow thinks Nina shot Drew when she was with Portia at the Brown Dog Bar to drop off their own confessions and again the next day at GH.

So Nina decided to sidestep things on Willow’s behalf but whatever because they don’t deserve each other anyway.

Oh good luck dealing with Jacinda with her terms of the payment as that sex worker they hired to seduce Drew is back.

Also Kristina needs to calm down honestly who continues to make silly mistakes so she can get payback time and time again like paying Cody money to split Ava and Ric when her sister Molly really has feelings for Cody. Yes, Ava got stabbed in the back by Ric eventually when it comes to the $$$ but no surprise seeing the two Davis sisters argue each other right there – no can do as always as wait until Molly finds out that Ric is stuck way downstairs.

And Lulu, please be very careful as Halloween doesn’t come everyday except October 31 every time she goes around people like Willow + Nina & Portia.

Yes, she’s doing a pitch article at the request of her uncle Martin Grey when Martin was upset at Drew targeting his good friend Stella Henry to get back at her nephew Curtis & he fired him on the spot.

But again, don’t go too far who already did shady things to Brook Lynn about Gio with BLQ hitting back in return with that Rocco/Ben (Lulu’s teenage son when the birth mom was originally Britt) situation. 

That didn’t go so well when Gio doesn’t want anything with BLQ and same with BLQ to her ma Lois until Maxie had a heart attack & somehow BLQ and Lulu decided to settle their own differences for a bit.

The last thing Lulu does not want is to have someone else come after to shoot down Lulu amid a public battle of her mom Laura Collins v Concilman Ezra Boyle for the city’s mayor job.

Maybe he and Todd Woodbridge should hang out someday with Todd a top class game show host of his own on Tipping Point Australia along with his stellar Tennis playing career (mainly doubles) and Tennis commentary for a long time and has just won a Logie Award (Australia’s TV of Emmys) lately.

Didn’t know Cameron guest hosted GMA3: Good Morning America’s third-hour show for the 1pm timeslot on occasions last month which was really cool but sure he will stick around as long as GH/ABC/Disney needs him.
