If it wasn’t for the repeated Stage 3 yellows and the struggle to hold off some NASCAR races off pit road, Brad Keselowski would have won them all.
But still, these RFK Ford Mustangs were fast against everyone all afternoon with Brad in 3rd and team-mate Ryan Preece in 5th. Preece had to make a lot of lost time from the back before the Stage 3 snowball effect came his way as there’s always Richmond, Watkins Glen & Daytona II.
Chris Buescher is just inside the Playoffs bubble just ahead of Ryan Preece in between 16th and 17th on Playoffs points with Brad currently sitting 21st. So all hope is not lost as long as they can all play their cards right just like Shane Van Gisbergen has done over the last three road course races for Team Trackhouse.
Now that’s an example RFK Racing should take a leaf out of going forward, we’ll see.
Last week’s winner from the brickyard in Indy Bubba Wallace came home 6th where things may not have gone his way in the first half but Stage 3 yellows + a long green flag run to the checkered flag justified his good finish.
Could’ve been more of the same thing that Bubba did last weekend but then he only started outside the Top 10 this time around with not much cleaner air to fire off from the opening green flag start. More of him and Charles Denike looking to crack the code so they can both continue a good run next weekend back on a road course at The Glen.
And Carson Hocevar had a whirlwind day from a good start thanks to qualifying to getting caught up in between and later backed up his speed to finish 8th for Spire.

Today’s Cup winner goes to William Byron in the No.24 Hendrick Chevy who not only had excellent pace in Stage 1 he also took advantage of the yellows later on and there he goes with the win. Remember Stage 2 was complicated due to yellows and William chose to make a bit of sacrifice there that led to good long gains.
NASCAR Xfinity Series: Hy-Vee Perks 250
There was the Xfinity Series race the day before also at Iowa.
Excellent to see Sam Mayer pounce and pounce for the right moments off the back of 2 x 4th placed finishes in the 1st half plus multiple Stage 3 yellows and there he goes with another Xfinity Series Iowa win this time in the No.41 Ford for Haas.

It’s the team’s first ever win for the new version of Haas since Tony Stewart left at the end of last year.
You never know if Smoke is gonna come back to NASCAR again at some point when Dodge via Ram Trucks will officially return to stock car racing beginning at Daytona in February 2026.
But time will tell likewise with Legacy Motor Club’s struggle for expansion right now thanks to Rick Ware Racing.
More on Legacy Motor Club
I did hear about Legacy MC wanting to merge with Haas the other day and Haas in Formula 1 currently has Toyota links – despite using Ferrari engines at present.
If not, it’s a shame those rumours don’t have much legs as maybe try Hyak Motorsports then? Doesn’t mean Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s Cup career is over.
Also the one also currently linked to the 3rd Legacy MC car if successful is Jesse Love, who sees 2nd in between a fast start and a complicated Stage 2, but he still gets the job done nonetheless with a fast Chevy for Richard Childress Racing.
Plus, the latest placed JGR Toyota even when the repeated late yellows may not have worked out was William Sawalich down in 11th with 2 x good stage runs in 5th.
TV changes as of now and the rest of 2025
And last but not least, we now know who’s doing practice and qualifying on TruTV since NBC has taken over the last 14 races of the year, with Adam Alexander calling the next few Xfinity Series back home again in Concord, NC for the CW following his well-earned rest from on-site travel for both Amazon Prime and TNT Sports.
Didn’t know Marty Snider was commentating alongside Steve Letarte and Jeff Burton with the rest being a mix of NBC and TNT talent on pit road since NBC is shouldering some of the production in the same way Fox did to Amazon Prime when Fox carried the first lot of races earlier this year.
