That was so intense wasn’t it? Thankful that all three high-stakes patient cases came out on the mend. Although the season finale episode did catch a fire bursting out of a window from upstairs. Looks like Jenna must have accidentally opened the valve of that tank full of acetylene she brought in earlier threatening to blow everyone up if the surgeons like Amelia and Lucas didn’t do enough to fix her daughter Dylan.

But fortunately, Mer came over with FFP to help save the day for that young girl and Jenna it’s okay – we’re all human, Mer has gone through the exact same situation before with her son. Just please don’t turn this into a crime scene next time as Dylan’s adventures on the map lives on.

IMG 878011

Sure being in the OR for the first time in a long time isn’t something Mer wants to do as she would rather do more medical research splitting from coast to coast.

And that’s fine by Dr. Fox and her husband Dr. Webber who sees her as the lifeblood of this great hospital in Seattle, Washington.

IMG 88932

Hope is all well with Ellen Pompeo – who recently starred and executive produced Good American Family (limited series drama) – based on an adopted orphan Natalia where you can see it for yourself right now on Hulu and Disney + elsewhere.

More patient cases other than the hostage as well as the sad end of Owen & Teddy?

IMG 887011

While the police and SWAT took centre stage to have Jenna arrested at Grey Sloan, Nora’s heart transplant using a live animal from a guinea pig was also a success – despite Teddy having second thoughts by trusting the best cardiologist according to Jules in Dr. Winston. On the relationship side, even though Owen wants to make his full commitment with Teddy than the one he just had a one-night stand with (in Nora btw) a few weeks ago – unfortunately she decided to choose herself, not him.

What a bummer.

What’s also risky that gives back a good ol’ return with rewards is the latest work of Dr. Bailey’s husband Dr. Warren when he might not have been allowed to operate on a patient cut open outside of an OR. But again, he trusts his insects on himself with Carter who has bleeding/blood issues and turns out he will by staying on the earth side. Wondering if Chandra Wilson will be back at GH as that red carpet reporter for the Nurses Ball? It all begins next week.

Anything else?

IMG 88692

Great to see JoLink continue their happy love song journey as now husband and wife. They had their own little honeymoon swoon together inside the hospital and having came out unscathed following the arrest of Jenna, they now want a baby girl together as fam of 3! So happy for them!

There’s also more first-year interns now set to don those white coats going into year two at Grey Sloan with their names on it.

Oh! Aside from Teddy walking away from Owen, Dr Griffith’s other man from the previous episode stops by to see her at the locker room. The good news is that Adams doesn’t know about it just yet when he was focused on fixing that young girl Dylan at the time but bad news is we’ll have to wait later this year for Season 22.

Couldn’t see the return of Monica Stevens coming that not only closes out Season 7 but also opens a new problem to deal with going into Season 8.

We’ll have to wait and find out in early 2026 then…

Miles’ date gone wrong while mentioning a bit about Lucy to Bradford

First of all, Miles, Miles, Miles – don’t talk about Bradford’s private life with the newest Sgt. Lucy ever.

Thank god he’s okay when Lucy and the “Dream Team” night shift officers (acting bored on her first night shift out) saved him from being kidnapped & potentially killed by that mob group, who clearly hates the LAPD and also has deeper ties with his ill-fated date Rina.

IMG 86442

That piece of “7” jewellery she wore he discovered while chatting to Rina called Celina right away at the back of house kitchen – looks like luck didn’t go his way with a group of mob guys out there waiting to kidnap him onto the trunk.

Don’t forget that Rena also has a criminal record too.

But again, don’t mess with Bradford & Lucy, Miles – they’re having a difficult time sorting their own busy lives. So leave it alone as double punishment for you.

Another catfish scam to husband by the wife???

While Miles and Bradford caught the husband Julius robbing the bank with $$$ in order to fund his online girlfriend’s heart transplant, it turns out that picture of her seems to be AI-generated according to Catfish “co-host” & detective Angela.

But what’s even more shocking is his wife Heidi was somehow behind all of this who hid his money away after she thought Julius emptied her savings account to pay for his girlfriend’s medical expenses.

IMG 86552

That way, she can get her fair share of the divorce payment he sent to her while Julius robbed a bank – unbelievable.

And guess what, that ex-hubby has been catfished by the ex-wife.

Officer John Nolan’s mission with Nyla to Las Vegas to hunt for Oscar

Now this was more of an uphill battle when Officer Nolan drove all the way to Vegas with Nyla to try and catch that suspect Oscar Hutchinson.

Things went from bad to worse though when Oscar tasered Nolan from behind while Nolan was buying a can of soda from the vending machine who later threw him on back of the vehicle – at least Nolan is okay thanks to Nyla and that Drone kid.

For Oscar though, he’s nowhere to be seen now having escaped in a helicopter when his gang tried to shoot Nyla’s car from above, as there’s nothing they can do to catch him from there.

IMG 85682

The Aftermath…but maybe not in more ways than one

According to state police when Nolan, Angela and Wesley arrived at FBI HQ, the pilot & door gunner were dead because Oscar couldn’t pay for his escape.

Then there was the news as said earlier that is going to shock everyone by surprise, Monica is back and these guys will have a lot of thinking to do.

Wondering what that new problem will be when Monica will be right on LAPD’s radar next time?

For now, it’s been great having The Rookie back at the mid-season mark earlier this year to finish things out. Time will tell whether or not the show will have a Washington State spin-off but maybe for later 2026 to early 2027 if not, ABC will probably just forget it.

What a night it was for the newlyweds Jo and Lincoln having just tied the knot that took only four days to get that planned.

Love how Link sang a love song to her with a guitar as their wedding vows at the alter instead of him reading it just like everyone else and Jo didn’t hesitate the next second with a lovely kiss, Again it was all wrapped up in quick succession before they and their staff danced at the floor through the night – shoutout to Levi coming back for this one.

IMG 77442

Aside from the JoLink wedding bash, we saw another couple in patient Deb going through complications on her colon with Steve by her side. Fortunately, Deb’s surgery was a success by Jules & Dr. Webber where her relationship with Steve will continue to live on, even though he can maybe a bit OTT at times.

They’re even are both alike to Cleveland and Donna from Family Guy together – Imagine what life will be like if they will be able to recall their own moments one day according to Jules and Webber when they were repairing Deb’s megacolon at the OR.

IMG 77432

Now things are looking so complicated with extreme difficulty elsewhere including one that will rock the Grey Sloan hospital ahead of next week’s season 21 finale.

There was another surgery Teddy and Owen were monitoring in Nora whose best friend is his sister Megan from childhood.

He and the surgeons including Kwan did the best they could to remove that infection at the OR but couldn’t around the heart that could turn out to be fatal such as cardiac arrest. There’s nothing Owen could do to help with a lot of sadness while Teddy looks on thinking he might be with that person (like yet again?) – who he was in bed with a few weeks ago at the same time when Teddy was with Cass in Vegas and doesn’t have a lot of life expectancy left.

IMG 27902

And while that complicated on-off open relationship remains to be seen after some well reserved time off in Hawaii, that poor 9-year-old girl Dylan isn’t making much progress following her high stakes surgery performed by Amelia & Lucas last week.

She can only blink eyes & stare into space – that’s all.

IMG 71432

Hard to feel but witness her mother Jenna lashing out at them for not treating her daughter properly while Lucas has been more frustrated than ever before when he decided to walk Simone off at JoLink’s wedding night with Simone cheating on him with another man after they both drank some shots at the bar.

Sounds like Mer was right about this via voiceover all along just as we saw with Owen and Teddy.

And what’s even more under pressure going into the finale next week with Mer back on-screen is that Jenna now has a gas bottle and a knife threatening to intoxicate, blow up and even kill surgeons including Amelia if they don’t fix up her daughter Dylan.

Where’s the husband? No idea.

Surely she must be stopped where both the hospital and the PD will do everything it takes before it’s too late. For the daughter though in Dylan, maybe she could be transferred to a higher order unit for her brain condition or worse through death either way.

It’s been quite the entertainment this week on The Rookie as the season finale is just around the corner in around five days: John Nolan is on a mission to catch Oscar Hutchinson with a huge twist in Las Vegas while Bradford has to be mindful when it comes to boundaries with his partner in-crime and the newest sergeant on the LAPD payroll Lucy.

All about Randy

That Randy guy from Germany with some nice clothes, personality and a Rolls-Royce convertible was so funny, although he needs to be careful sometimes with his shenanigans next time. I mean, Chasity was almost killed if he didn’t meet those $15-20 million ransom demands by the hit man, as fortunately Nolan and his LAPD guys stopped this at an abandoned mall.

I was wondering how he did earn all those deep pockets? But you know, that’s so Randy and glad (Tim) Bradford got to spend a few hours with the guy Randy arranged for his meet and greet after he paid him in the region of $100K in charity.

IMG 77102

And if the stunts aren’t for Randy, maybe he should try being an athlete whether if it’s a team sport or as an individual at a boxing ring, who does have the tall reach to beat down anyone like how he defended two men threatening to stab him with a knife at one time.

Ruth’s house in danger?

More of the Sopranos like episode or maybe like a short scripted version of Catfish from MTV, Nyla’s mom Ruth was given an eviction notice by surprise thanks to that scammer Priscilla Robins.

We thought her house was in danger following Ruth’s misunderstanding of the fine print but again her bestie Emilia played undercover mom and guess what?

Priscilla has been caught under arrest when Emilia the Lopez mom opened the front door and the daughters Angela and Nyla showed up to take her in.

IMG 77082

Mr Burns’ gang v Wesley and Sean

Mr Burns? Not the Simpsons one but Colin Burns – one of the suspects of murder.

There was a gang tried to turn Wesley’s head to drop his charges or else Sean’s son Logan will be in trouble. Now Logan may be shot following a drive-by shooting but glad he’s okay and there will be no more trouble to the Del Montes family.

Sergeant-elect Lucy Chen

Congrats to Lucy on passing her sergeant exams which she is now in charge of the night shift by the LAPD and yes Bradford, Lucy is a Typical A-student – how good!

We don’t want to leave our love ones before leaving things behind and we’ve just seen all of that on today’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy.

Sad to see that poor young girl’s life on the line in nine-year-old Dylan when she wasn’t moving at all following surgery led by Dr. Amelia Shepherd with the resection of the angioma on her brain. We get Dylan not wanting to take part by going home instead of the surgery following the scans who has other life goals such as taking a hike on a trail map through Deep Lake.

However, there’s just no other way the doctors can do about it in order to let her live as long as she could regardless which is either surgery or no surgery.

It really hit hard on Dylan’s parents as well other parents who gone through the same thing and today’s episode would help send that message – you’re not alone in this and there’s always help you can count on this difficult journey.

For now, I guess we’ll have to find out next week as Dr. Lucas Adams ain’t giving up on Dylan just yet.

IMG 71402

Meanwhile, there were other surgery successes on the bright side witha young male patient Spencer following a car crash at high speed.

There was also Mariana with her fiance Edgar by her side who has endometriosis as her orthopaedic surgery came off just fine.

And there was another unnamed male patient with thanks to Kwan and not that intern Dr. Bailey introduced in Amara West following her disappointing trip at the halls of Sloan Grey with Kwan.

Even though all other surgeries today were a success, we also did see some sad endings by a few others but not as tragic.

IMG 71412

No wedding unfortunately for lifelong best friends Mariana and Edgar, who has known each other from the very first day of their lives, after their own parents gave birth to their own children at this same hospital a few decades ago.

Such a bummer.

Love their sweet story documented by soon-to-be married lovebirds Jo and Link (Lincoln) whose wedding is not too far away in just four days (storyline update). That’s right, can’t wait for that one (next episode) next week, and it’s the second last episode of Season 21 this 2024/25 TV season before the finale..

IMG 71422

Plus, Spencer’s dad Mike decided to use his son’s rent money where Winston caught him drinking alcohol and Winston wasn’t one bit happy before Jules Millin split up their little fight when Mike wasn’t really a good dad to Spencer after all.

Jeez wish Jules could stay off a little when her dad had a similar issue like Spencer’s dad Mike like she was 10 while Jules, Winston and Dr. Webber were fixing Spencer’s cracked rib cage (left hand side) at the OR.

But hey, got some good news Jules for you where love how she was preparing her surgical skills at the start of today’s episode on a raw chicken breast – Surprise, Surprise, Simone!

And Kwan, it’s Griffith’s house, Griffith’s rules – no strangers uninvited.

It’s been a crushing end to that young patrol officer’s career of Seth Ridley on the latest episode of The Rookie with two episodes to go before we finish Season 7.

First of all, yes, he has been a fool to himself after all this time including his LAPD colleagues.

But having been shot the other day in the leg by one of the gang lord’s men when they tried to kill that poor mother & her fugitive husband because the money that fugitive gave to that gang lord was insufficient, Seth’s lower left leg unfortunately had to be amputated.

Not only that, Seth confessed everything to Tamara such as his lies in faking cancer, etc. and there goes their relationship where she left the engagement ring on the table.

What’s next for Seth? He could still be in the police force as he is eligible for a disability or could find a new career path/job elsewhere.

IMG 63132

Speaking of elsewhere from earlier, it was all about that fugitive guy desperately crying for help having previously been caught trying to steal money at a shop – all while trying to pay back the mob boss.

Don’t forget he even escaped one time later on a van when Seth tried to take him into custody having even saw a picture of the young daughter they share together.

However, he didn’t want to anyway and that’s where he smashed him in the stomach with a baseball bat & made his way out through an open window.

Fortunately, he was able to prevent further bleeding on Seth’s left lower leg by giving Seth’s police colleagues his belt later on en route to the hospital that later turned out to be so tragic as said with the amputation news.

Then ahh…those kids driving the whole town crazy.

Can’t believe that young guy Tulsa was speeding at over 300km/h with his girlfriend Aimee next to him before he and his girlfriend crashed into the water.

IMG 62972

They were incredibly lucky to survive thank god where it could’ve been any worse had these two people been drowned under water into death.

From there, it has gotten worse and worser by the day when he and his girlfriend were targeting in not just Wesley (the one who prosecuted him) at the DA’s office but also Wesley’s wife and their child at a playground by their intolerable fans.

One huge highlight though towards the end is that Aimee now wants to launch her skincare line called “survivor skin” for survivors having realised how narcissistic Tulsa can be in a latest social media post all said by herself while Tulsa had checked himself into rehab according to Wesley – love how Wesley and his wife found out that they’re the “real-life power couple” together according to these netizens on the web. Sweet as!

Credit to Angela and Nyla who brought Aimee into questioning where they brought up the fact that she was indeed intelligent with her achievements back in the day at high school.

Well, good for you! But please, just stay out of trouble next time! Then there goes the laptop being closed down for the day.

IMG 63252

And we finish off the episode with Eric Winter’s Tim and Melissa O’Neil’s Lucy sitting together with Lucy staring right at him thinking about what her future could be like if she does get to be a sergeant should the results come back saying she did ace that exam – we’ll shall see!

Sigh! It’s been a one rollercoaster of a ride today on GA and the Sloan Grey Hospital in Seattle headlined by that window cleaning superhero’s fall from grace when he had a blood clot and had to crash himself through their windows towards safety – fortunately though, he’s okay.

Not only that, one of his biggest fans in Yusuf also okay in passing gas when he overcame his health and brother rivalry problems, especially with their mom also hurt and later okay from that window accident as lovely to see the family get back together with the help of that new superhero team led by Dr.’s Ben Warren and Taryn Helm. The actress who plays Helm is French btw who grew up in Grenoble before she made the big move to the US and here she is now on the big screen.

IMG 40702

Also, Dr. Lucas Adams the young guy has impressed Dr. Catherine Fox following the 14-year-old girl’s surgery success on her uterus, which puts him back on the map having been stuck in a bitter stoush with Dr. Fox since the start of Season 21 – finally, things went his way after all as congratulations Dr. Adams.

IMG 40752

What else? Also Dr. Winston looking on in front of a camera as if he’s a statue of GA’s liberty including when he looked up to the stars from up high with Jules and looks like they were given a word of warning there by Dr. Webber.

More of Dr. Richard Webber too getting sick and tired with one little bit of Benson arguing with Simone when one of his friends showed up uninvited at her home but in the end, Richard’s power of words seems to put a patch for these two after Benson had to move on without Molly.

And as the good young couple of Lucas and Simone heads off to enjoy a nice dinner after a long day of work at Slone Grey, Grey’s will be back on Friday May 2nd, 2025 on Disney Plus due to the NFL Draft that is set to take place next week.

IMG 40662

That’s also Disney Plus as well since Disney has the rights to air NFL games here via ESPN having just made it available there only a few weeks ago.

Hint: Jordan Petaia from the Queensland Reds in Super Rugby and the Wallabies already signed up with the LA Chargers, so he might not be on the field just yet – just on a starting International contract before he can test himself at the deeper end in front of 70-80K of people at some point.

Shoutout to him by the way and there’s only three episodes left before we say goodbye to season 21 and onto season 22 later this year.

It’s been mostly a served cold episode of Grey’s the other day when it comes to love that hits them hard in the worse possible effect, especially to Owen and Teddy when she tried to save a patient straight from the ER who slipped away and had an ice pick stabbed to his chest – it’s just too little, too late to save him following his death that Teddy recorded at 19:24 PM.

Then the guilt sorrows once she filed the finishing paperwork of that patient’s death certificate who later had the chance to confess to Owen about her own love fling with Cass while she was in Vegas with Dr. Miranda Bailey on a medical conference.

IMG 37332

Even though Owen had his own with Nora, he’s the one that is keeping this relationship very wide open together – so hopefully they’re not gonna just fall apart.

Meanwhile, Dr. Bailey hosted a lecture to her fellow staff members with another brain tumour patient in Gabby, and Dr. Joseph Chase was there to help her out on what could be a life-changing procedure.

It didn’t go down well with Dr. Simone Griffith who once met him and she had her placement program terminated while they were in Washington D.C. Not only that, Dr. Bailey’s husband was even unsure too and guess what Joseph caused so much drama to himself, who then told Dr. Bailey that he can’t finish the procedure because he claims she is no longer eligible to finish off the experiment, before Dr. Bailey finished off the work with wonders by herself with her hubby and she is okay.

IMG 37072

Also, Dr. Webber taught brilliant things to his mentee on an old video tape in Dr. Griffith’s boyfriend Lucas who is learning the ropes in order to meet everything what his wife Dr. Catherine Fox did from the beginning of this 21st season.

And we’ve got some good patient news also at Sloane Grey with a motorcycle enthusiast named Jack has successfully realigned his crooked leg following a recent accident. Now he might have to be really careful as had he not agreed with the surgery, it could have lead to amputation via an infection of sepsis.

IMG 37062

But at least he was given a VR set so he can continue riding bikes after all thanks to an emotional Benson who is currently going through his break up from Molly and did a great job with Lincoln on this patient case there. We wish Jack all the best, make your health your No.1 & don’t end up like his brother who also passed away off a two-wheel motorcycle two years ago.

GA back for the next new episode Friday on Disney+.

Twists and turns with question marks was the call on this latest episode of Grey’s Anatomy under Season 21, Episode 13.

We witnessed a love swap between Teddy and Owen the other day when Teddy was in Las Vegas for Dr. Miranda Bailey’s medical conference & she ran into another woman named Cass while Owen was also with another woman at the same time & he too ended up in bed with Nora.

Whatever that is that they’re doing right now, it’s not going to look pretty on these two either way with their marriage, etc.

Although we can take Owen’s line of “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” – again, she did cheat on him in Vegas & Owen in response on Teddy.

IMG 27872

Sounds like let the blame games begin once she is on her way back to Seattle.

Meanwhile, all hope is lost on Benson Kwan whose relationship with Molly has just came to an unfortunate end when she thinks he’s the reason she is still fighting to try regain lost memories on her brain following surgery with Amelia and Simone.

Tough to hear but it’s the truth as at least he still has friends and work colleagues he can count on with trust.

IMG 27893

What else? Dr. Jo Wilson was being so annoyed by that young guy in Dr. Scott Marcus who yes did save her pregnancy but not so sure with her patients when she was unable to perform day-long surgical procedures at the moment – and him taking over without her notice has kinda put Jo towards a red flag situation.

Also, it’s surgery, not “surge” as Dr. Wilson said by the way Dr. Marcus – you’ve been warned right there.

And last but not least, here’s some more patient follow ups at Grey Sloan.

A lady named Liz who is currently pregnant has a lump on her neck where she had to undergo local anthensia to remove undigestive food including the seizure and it turned out to be a success.

Love her favourite food of eating Fish Tacos btw having vomited earlier on but that can wait when she will need much needed rest though – good luck with your whatever thing you wanted going on.

IMG 27882

And then there’s a man in Allan Lewis whose kidney function was on the line where an intern (Dr. Lucas Adams), who might have to repeat another year as a shadow doctor & later sought advice from Dr. Catherine Fox’s husband (Dr. Richard Webber), noticed this rare complication following a screen check right away to have him sent straight into the ER.

The bad news is that his kidney is too damaged & unable to be saved through a series of previous kidney transplants but what he wants to do now is explore things on a bucket list while he can before he dies – hoping this will work out for him as he’s still alive for the better than nothing.

GA is on every Friday with same-day on-demand episodes from the US on Disney+.

Today, ABC secured not one but two additional development projects in the last month of 2024 – one is yet another spin-off of The Rookie being set in Washington State and the second is the Scrubs sitcom reboot originally aired in the 2000s.

Right now, all of their current scripted shows are taking the mid-season break – with more coming back (Will Trent & The Rookie) and another coming in (Shifting Gears soon and later The Conners’ one last ride), while management is thinking about their next move going into 2025.

Here’s a list of projects that currently on the table lately:

Sitcom

  • Sisters-In-Law
  • Do You Want Kids?
  • A Scrubs reboot

Drama

  • 9-1-1 spin-off in Hawaii
  • Vital Signs
  • The Rookie spin-off in Washington State

We all know Scrubs has been one of the now former ABC Signature’s popular property of sitcoms (previously it was Touchstone Television until 2007 followed by ABC Studios until 2020) throughout the 2000s – firstly on NBC for the first six followed by ABC during the last two seasons.

Now they would want to try it again and see if this will work in this decade, so 20th TV can get the opportunity under the microscope since they will oversee all of ABC’s scripted programming from now on.

It’s bit of a surprise since someone like Bill Lawrence wants to work on this by setting the scene where it left off back in 2010, even though he currently has huge links with Warner Bros TV. ABC already has Tim Allen back as one of their star personnel on Shifting Gears, so better to build on Abbott as surely not another revival would make things work when Scrubs already run its race a long time ago.

Gotta say, probably a non-starter I guess even if it makes into pilot.

The same would say for yet another spin-off of The Rookie & this time it would have to do with a cop starting his new job in Washington State. I guess they’re trying to mirror a more comedic version of the NCIS franchise from CBS but with more cop work rather than something different like the Feds spin-off which only lasted one season amid the strikes last year.

Maybe that would work in another Disney led platform like Hulu but there’s more than enough content to fit on ABC across every day of the weekend — don’t think another Rookie spin-off is gonna benefit their audience that much either as well as to the show’s fan base. The fans already have been hurt once before and they don’t want to get run over yet again for a potential spin-off that may not last long.

Considering the new season of The Rookie starting soon next month, they may not be finished just yet but maybe it’s best to finish things off where it all began at some point rather than bringing up another spin-off whose plot looks very similar but under a new location. Why they can’t just make this happen for some time as part of the show, not go completely separate from it under a new project.

All in all, I’d pick either or even any two of the new sitcoms over a Scrubs reboot as well as a brand new 9-1-1 spin-off & move Grey’s Anatomy back to Sundays over the other two as above.

IMG 7037 1 1

It would be great if ABC can find one that is legally awesome having overlooked The Good Lawyer 12 months ago also due to the strikes holding back unfortunately but that could wait until the time they feel is right – we’ll have to find that out soon enough.
