Familiar faces may have come and gone and back again, that’s the GH headline for this week’s weekly recap edition.
There were good and not so good moments such as the Q’s Thanksgiving party in goodwill to the surprise turn of events like Curtis Ashford’s link to Ms. Selina Wu about Drew and Sidwell’s truckload of blackmail against Sonny and Laura in revenge of her re-election win.
Let’s not forget the wedding finally went ahead in quick succession by Drew Cain and Willow Tait also on Thanksgiving where awkward reactions and Michael watching on from a window was better than seeing them say “I do”.
Sports Benches is the only Australian place for weekly GH content since Network 10 no longer airs the show. If GH is not enough, we have the latest recap on the Fall events of Grey’s Anatomy Season 22.
We also have the 2nd Ashes Test coming our way going into early next week on what has been a great game of cricket so far by both the Aussies and England as of Day 3 at The Gabba in Brisbane.
It can be anyone’s game which is better than the two days from the opening Perth Test.
The latest on Who Shot Drew?
Interesting new bits of information this week but why target Curtis Ashford again?
It seems he was having “business” talks with Ms. Selina Wu at The Savoy about killing Drew Cain & should she succeed, he would reward Ms. Wu $1 million USD.
But then Curtis later changed his mind since he there’s family looking out for him.
We still don’t know who stopped by at the Q’s & got away with one of the pistols from Edward’s gun collection that was used to shoot down Drew twice.
The only certainty is that random someone with the wild hair standing in the shadows who was ready to end Drew’s life & later failed.
Easy to say that Ms. Wu looks like she has two things: wild hair and is capable of violence. However, she’s more of mob boss better suited at instructing orders than taking up for battle herself.
Even if she or her hitman turns out to be the culprit, it’s impossible for the PCPD to track them down just like Sonny’s — not even Curtis & Michael for revenge sake.
It can still be anyone listed in “Pass the Phone” short clip but all signs still point to Willow. Just like her mom Nina and just like her twin sister Nelle, things won’t be pretty only for the wrong reasons.
In 2020-21, Nelle lost her life and by the half decade of 2020s, maybe Willow would be the next one facing consequences— despite finally tying the knot to Drew earlier this week as Mrs. Drew Cain.
So surprised to hear that Willow only wanted to marry Drew so she can get her kids back from Michael & her requirement to love Drew is not a given.
No wonder Portia was right to single out Nina Reeves even if it’s Ava’s idea to try and help them reach an understanding just because Nina wants to save her daughter when she’s just the co-chief of staff at GH & also currently pregnant too. It’s a pity that another ill-discipline & unforced error has come Nina’s way.
I know this is unpredictable but unfortunately one of them will be caught by the time Drew would be out of his mind just like how he got shot to the ground a few months ago — that’s soaps for you.
Time for battle Mayor Collins and Sonny v Sidwell
We didn’t see that coming just like Lucky Spencer last year where he was locked up in Africa as Laura Collins and Sonny Corinthos are currently held “hostage” by none other than Mr. Jenz Sidwell.
How did Sidwell manage to take pictures of Laura discovering Dalton’s dead body and another of her and Sonny together instead of calling the cops? Maybe the PCPD would go crazy immediately on the spot by selling the public with that post-election scandal.
Maybe it’s not just Sidwell pulling these strings alone but enter Ezra Boyle who also stopped by at her door as clean as a whistle following Major Collins’ re-election win.
No wonder this is becoming so real by dumping truckloads of blackmail against Sonny and Laura. Just like how Sidwell and Boyle made such a clever move after they threw Dalton’s dead body in the trunk of Laura’s car before either of them followed her movements all along.
Both Laura & Sonny have been in worse battles than this before as sure they can stop Sidwell before the final Faison works looks complete that could be so deadly to the people of Port Charles.
The good news is Josslyn is trying to get her hands on that tech off Sidwell before it’s too late.
But it’s a shame there’s no Vaughn after he was sent so far way by that ruthless boss Jack Brennan last week with the same punishment goes to Joss if she continues to underestimate him.
Valentin’s back now in GH territory so looks like there will be unfinished business going into the new year. I knew he found a way to escape somehow instead of being transferred to a US prison.
Maybe Brennan wants Joss to stop Sidwell first with that tech while Sonny & Laura finishes him. Then the secrets will come out for Brennan to probably meet his own end — most likely against Valentin.
That way, the only person who would touch that Faison tech is Valentin, not Brennan — or else just the WSB.
Hope Lucas will also finally come to his senses when it comes to Marco whose dad (Sidwell) is clearly dangerous & yet Marco didn’t have a good relationship at all with his late mom Natalia Ramirez.
The 2025 Qs Thanksgiving bash and more!
Glad to hear that Ned has returned earlier than expected following his recent heart attack thanks to Drew while Emma and Gio successfully rescued these dogs from Dalton’s other secret lab.
Gotta say it was a joyous occasion for the Qs to hand over their turkey to people in need amongst staff at GH in honour of Monica. Look what the Qs ate in return?
Pizza!!! Even though they couldn’t use their pizza oven just to avoid their annual curse and rightfully so, happy for the Qs to play it smart this thanksgiving year.
Didn’t know Leo has returned on-air too for that special occasion along with the family’s favourite female puppy Outback.
Thank goodness she left the turkey unharmed other than a good lick and didn’t know that Leo is now a vegetarian.
Also for Gio, it’s been a rough series of events lately, especially when it comes to his dad Dante.
Happy to hear that Rocco stood up for his brother where Dante shouldn’t use his PCPD resources to punish Gio — just because he was a bad influence to Rocco time & time again.
Here’s hoping Dante sees the real picture of Gio where the mom Brook Lynn has just managed to succeed lately but little to no effort from the father so far.
It’s going to be matter of time before Rocco will slam the door hard on both his parents including Charlotte just like Gio.
Sounds like Lulu and Dante need to tone their parenting style down before it’s too late — they’re not perfect parents like anyone else.
Remember, Valentin’s back in town again, Sidwell holding Dante’s dad and Lulu’s mom hostage & there’s Britt being drunk who also caused a scene at the Brown Dog Bar where Molly walked out on Cody.
That’s so Faison Britt, it all runs in the family.
So yes, understandable but then Dante and Lulu need to know how to trust their kids.
It’s the only way for them to stick together as a family.
And while there’s no real threats coming from Cyrus and Esme where both of whom have only returned by surprise in Laura’s dream, good to see Jeff Kober and Avery Pohl back on GH also for this occasion.
Not forgetting Jon Lindstrom as Laura’s husband Kevin Collins following a great stint on CBS Daytime’s newest African-American soap Beyond The Gates.
