Nascar Weekly – First of all, Bubba Wallace was consistently fast in the Top 10 irrespective of unexpected timing as the top Toyota satellite Cup driver of the day in 7th.
He and crew chief Charles Denike were the first ones to notice about the potential rain which did happen after all as they’re here to prove NASCAR wrong.
Especially when his 23XI team may not be a chartered team right now because of the ongoing lawsuits and everything including their ally over at Front Row Motorsports.
RFK Racing, meanwhile, overcame a difficult handling issue where they’ve had two cars home in the Top 10 following a whirlwind Stage 3 such as repeated late cautions & the odd red flag rain hold.
Well done to both Chris Buescher (9th, No.17) and Brad Keselowski (10th, No.6).
And still special shoutout to Ty Dillon over at the No.10 Kaulig Racing camp (Chevy) now in the in-season Final just one place over the lapped down JHN from Legacy MC as the last lead lap driver in 20th.
His car may not be the best when it comes to regular Top 10s but he sure needs everyone’s support to beat Ty Gibbs & it’s about time Kaulig might as well make the best setup for TD to conquer there at Indy.
All in all, it’s been a wild turn of events in particular Stage 3 off the back of a few yellow flag and one red flag weather twists that changed everything. This goes from strategy by pit or not to pit along with new or used tires that could surely give you a good enough result.

Oh not forgetting another good Denny (Hamlin) day too following his latest win at a short track like the Monster Mile in Dover.
Okay, he may have a couple of argy bargy moments against his Gibbs team-mates like Christopher Bell in the No.20, who got unlucky with two Stage 3 spins following a flying start, and 2nd-placed race finisher Chase Briscoe in the No.19.
But he’s still someone who can get you a few regular-season wins – as long as the long-run setup speed is there and he continues to play his cards right.
Denny’s gotta keep on being the best he can be upfront for the best chance towards winning his first drivers’ championship later this year with Chris Gayle this time & not Chris Gabehart.
Up to Toyota to make this happen and they’ve only won a championship 2-3 odd times so far.
What else happened over the past week off-track?

Chicago Street Course racing won’t be back for now at least the next year following the lapse of their initial three-year contract. But the good news is that they do want to return only at a different date that isn’t the July 4 weekend, so more opportunities from Shane Van Gisbergen there hoping to win more races by making this place a top shelf fortress.
Other than SVG when we extend that to his previous successful bubble in the Supercars world, I understand Cam Waters – usually from Tickford Racing who also raced in Trucks at Lime Rock Park a few weeks ago – wanting a standalone Truck Series competition here according to Speedcafe.
I thought an Asia-Pacific NASCAR series would work in the same way as Europe & even Canada but then we all know what happened with TCR Australia via SpeedSeries. That doesn’t mean the World Tour comp won’t be back here & they will do so this September as part of the Supercars 1st endurance round bill at The Bend in South Australia.
In the meantime, I’m sure NASCAR appreciates Supercars as much as they appreciate them – and let’s hope they can collaborate further to help boost our Aussie audience to this amazing sport.
And what beef Legacy MC has done now yet again?
Enter TJ Puchyr who was a consultant for both here and Rick Ware Racing over the past few months made a shortcut in disrupting a potential charter sale by buying whole of RWR itself rather than trying to settle with the terms of the transaction.
Sometimes RWR ain’t easy people to deal with business wise when their on-track performances aren’t really the same except on big ovals like Daytona & Talladega.
But let’s hope Legacy MC finds a way or else find a charter elsewhere or even merging with another single-car Cup team to make up three full-time cars.
