It was a mix of same dominance but full of one statement blockbuster between the top-seeded teams/front-runners in This Week’s Sports News edition.
Toyota Camrys continued dominating on Cup Sundays but the winner returned to early-season contender Tyler Reddick.
Then we had a spectacle between 1st v 2nd placed teams from Week 10 of the 2026 Super Rugby Season where one winner got away at the death.
Also, ANZ Premiership Netball continues but with different teams this time for Round 2.
That’s why big event sports live here on Sports Benches once every week and if that’s not enough, we also got General Hospital for you every Saturdays.
NASCAR Cup Series: AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway
Yes, Tyler Reddick should’ve stayed consistent from start to finish for 23XI Racing despite starting from pole but his 2nd half performance was undeniably the best overall equipment ahead of anyone else.
That timing though was something no other driver can rival this No.45 Toyota Camry from winning yet another race — job well done despite the nerves at Kansas Speedway.
Now with Denny Hamlin (Tyler’s boss at 23XI), he was almost there following a great strategy to short pit and then make up lots of green flag time for the lead.
But again, just a bit of bad luck following the late yellow and overtime down to 4th.
Meanwhile, Kyle Larson from Hendrick Motorsports also touched wood a few times including the Stage 2 win.
He just needed retention that’s worth winning races going forward, especially when trying to match Tyler’s race-winning package in a straight-line shootout following overtime.

Finally, not much Ford Mustangs going on but Brad Keselowski is this week’s Blue Oval in 6th for RFK Racing.
Baseline speed wasn’t bad for a start while struggling to get around traffic as reported by his team-mate Chris Buescher.
He stayed tight though with a different set of quick pit road adjustments where he sensed some Top 5 qualities post-race.
Super Rugby Week 10/16: Chiefs v Hurricanes
That top-of-the-table clash was one of Super Rugby’s highlight reels of Week 10 this year between Chiefs v Hurricanes.
Although there’s more than just headlines like Harry & Meghan in attendance at Allianz Stadium for Waratahs v Moana Pasifika. With Moana’s growing uncertainty, they’ve just announced their season-ending exit unfortunately days prior last week.
Chiefs is now leading Hurricanes on the current standings ahead of Super Round including ANZAC Day Saturday at the new-look One NZ Stadium in Christchurch.

Hurricanes had a great start but struggled to capitalise their early lead before Chiefs somehow came from behind — even in the dying minutes following the usual full 80.
Final score was Chiefs 22-17 Hurricanes at FMG Stadium in Waikato, Hamilton.
Past and Present aligned when Damian McKenzie had more than his fair share of kicking at 10 while Wallace Sititi (reserve open 7) outmuscled past these Canes defenders following his long-awaited return from a hamstring injury.

They know what it takes to produce match-winning displays under pressure where Chiefs have been grand finalists three years running. But still no season-ending championship win though as a grand final breakthrough awaits come early June.
Billy Proctor opened key landing spots like stretching dough out with width from the Hurricanes outside 13 who provided a great supply of assisting and scoring tries.
Unfortunately, silly mistakes exposed poor ball retention extending to their own defense and eventually, the result itself.
ANZ Premiership Netball Week 2/10: Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic v Northern Mystics
Also from Saturday night, another Waikato-based team took centre stage against runners-up Mystics in Tauranga but still same old results by 37-57.
Now Mystics grateful to have retained nearly all of their starting seven + reserves along with a marquee replacement that can still put up a good fight.
Maia Wilson who comes in mainly Goal Shoot & sometimes Goal Attack isn’t just playing for fun and had a great media stint yesterday with Tactix v Pulse. She’s also a team player providing fresh perspective after she just came across the road from Stars last season.
Then Peta Toeava set up these nice attacking thirds as one of the ANZP’s consistent players at Wing Attack where if she’s still with the Ferns, time will tell with Dame Noeline Taurua reinstated as head coach — at least as a bit-part player.
Finally, Ariana Cable-Dixon worked her magic at Centre where she and Ali Wilshier formed a good bridge towards their front two circle shooters of Saviour Tui & Kate Taylor.
Yes, their fan base is passionate but the direction & quality of this squad is not week in, week out.
One way or another, Magic haven’t really been good enough for a long time with still no recent Finals to date since the ANZP’s inception for 10 years now.
